I create art to educate & uplift our communities, sparking conversation & promote healing and reflection.

My work centers on realism, using bold contrasts between monochrome tones and explosive, vibrant color. I seek to capture not only what is seen on the surface, but also what is felt beneath it. Realism allows me to anchor my pieces in familiarity and truth, while contrast gives me the freedom to explore emotion, tension, and movement within each composition. The balance between black-and-white depth and vivid color becomes a visual metaphor—one that mirrors the complexities.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature and life’s defining moments fuel my creativity. The seasons shift, paths change, and in both, I find meaning woven together. Often times I find myself creating my most favorite pieces during times in life where I need to make critical decisions on my next steps. This outlet allows me to move forward. There are times, we as individuals can find ourselves “stuck” and we need to free from that feeling.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning the $25,000, would allow me to open a community art space dedicated to hosting workshops and creative gatherings. If possible this will open a way for me to also offer free classes, providing art as an accessible therapeutic outlet. Too often, people underestimate the healing power art can have on the soul. Art can heal and restore.
