I create art to express emotions I can't put into words-blending color, humor, and surreal ideas from life, music, and inspiration.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m drawn to creating art that blends surrealism with bold, expressive color and a touch of humor. I love building pieces that feel a little unexpected–where familiar elements are slightly off or reimagined in a way that makes you look twice. My favorite work lives in that in-between space: playful but layered, imaginative but grounded in real emotion. It’s less about perfection and more about creating something that feels alive, curious, and open to interpretation.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday moments & the thoughts that don’t always have a clear place to land. A lot of it comes from within–my own experiences, curiosity, and the way I process things–but also from the outside world and the energy around me. Music plays a big role too–it shifts my mood, sparks ideas, and helps shape the feeling behind what I create. I’m drawn to contrasts: humor and heaviness, the familiar and the strange. I’ve learned to embrace the weird–it’s where the magic usually is.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it back into my art business and continue building what I'm creating. I'd also use it to travel and gather inspiration from the world around me, and spend more meaningful time with my adult children making memories together. And honestly, I would love to spoil my husband a little-my steady support system, who works hard beside me and behind the scenes in ways that keep everything grounded and mean more than words can say.
