I love to create art because I love capturing the beauty & and sadness of life & preserving it forever

My favorite type of art to create is poetry. It is so simple and so unbelievably intricate at the same time. So few words captures so much emotion and feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration all around me - from a tiny dandelion to the unknown outer reaches of our universe. I can see a poem in a trip to the grocery store or a trip to Hawaii. I have poems commemorating my father, my cat, my youth, my favorite childhood toy, a vase my parents had for years that I broke, and an old plastic cup from which my dad used to eat milk & cornbread. Life is a poem - you just have to listen for it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would take $20,000 and use it to make a chunk of MUCH-needed house repairs to my childhood home that I inherited in 2020 when my father passed away. And even though the house repairs are an estimated $70,000, I would use the other $5,000 for the most ultimate trip around the world - hitting all my wish-list vacation spots - Greece, Italy, and England.
