You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
OIL PAINTINGS! This medium flows serendipitously across the canvas for me; no stencils, tape, rattle cans or AI; only a brush and paint. I love the endless combinations of color to express my moods. Some days I feel as though I am creating grand biomorphic science fiction liquidscapes of strange ambiguous entities dancing boundlessly in nebulous clouds and other days just germy bathwater soup. Regardless of what comes out, painting is deeply spiritual and therapeutic for me! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Where do you find inspiration?I have always been mesmerized by the divine creation of all; from what glues us together as biological beings, to the farthest unreachables of the cosmically strange! Creating my own dreamy spaces on canvas and curating environments inevitably brings me abundant inspiration daily. I was also blessed with a dad who constantly made engaging artful things. Watching his control over paint when pin-striping classic cars and his ability to be silly & free on the flip side of life rubbed off on me!
What would you do with $25,000?Perhaps i will publish my own OVERSIZED coffee table book! I will definitely buy a lot of art supplies, invest in my teaching space and create wall paper for play rooms, aquatic tanks, and communal fun spaces! I have also dreamed of creating a 3D installation where my paintings move around the viewer making them feel lost in the special sauce! BRING IT ON :)
