Creating art is something that has brought me peace and a quiet mind in a chaotic and noisy world from a young age.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite kind of art to create is surreal and symbolic, and it’s often centered around human figures with vibrant, dreamlike elements contrasted against darker, more introspective themes like mortality and self-perception.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by the tension between light and dark emotionally and visually. I pull from dreams, symbolism, and the complexity of life’s experience. I enjoy making things that symbolize our perception of identity, morality, mortality, and the contrast between things like light and dark, life and death, and femininity and masculinity.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to build a body of work that explores emotion, identity, and contrast in a way that people can connect to. I would invest in materials, education, and opportunities to exhibit my work. More than anything, it would give me the ability to fully commit to my art and share it on a larger scale. I would love to host my own first exhibit and build an online shop.
