I save materials from polluting our earth and honor the bones of animals who fed us—giving new life to what others carelessly discard.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Art with a purpose. In a world buried in consumerism and waste, I dumpster dive to rescue discarded materials and give forgotten items a second life. Using recycled, salvaged, and natural materials—like real animal bones—I transform what was abandoned into functional pieces filled with emotion, history, and meaning.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in dumpsters, ditches, and the quiet remains of nature. I’m drawn to the beauty hidden in abandoned things and the responsibility to rescue materials before they pollute the earth. I listen to the stories of forgotten objects others ignore and see possibility in places most avoid. Each salvaged piece, whether waste or bone, becomes the beginning of something functional, meaningful, and reborn.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would finally be able to create a dedicated workspace to safely process salvaged and natural materials instead of on my living room floor. I want to host worshops on recycling basics, legal scavenging, and "how to" classes on using hand tools and power tools to DIY-ers. My goal would be to reduce landfill waste, inspire creativity, and prove that discarded materials still hold value when given a little effort and imagination.
