The world needs artists, now more than ever. In a consumer heavy society, I love being someone that creates.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My main focus in my art is turning seemingly ordinary rocks and cutting & polishing them in to something beautiful which I then wire wrap in to pendants and other pieces. But I also enjoy all kinds of other art, such as writing, painting, 3D nature scenes, and more!
Where do you find inspiration? My art is inspired by the wisdom in nature and the beauty in imperfections. A Japanese philosophy called Wabi-Sabi reinforces these ideas as well.
What would you do with $25,000?I would first use the money to purchase a cabbing machine. Which is a series of sanding machines that would allow me to cut and polish stones in a fraction of the time that it takes to tumble them and with much greater precision. I would also use it to purchase blacksmithing equipment so I could begin forging and fabricating pieces as well.
