Creation is life’s spark; to create is to destroy. Create with purpose, and both growth and destruction find meaning.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create murals in public places that connect the community and the environment. My favorite passion projects are reclaiming waste, and plastics from the ocean and using it in sculptures. Connecting community art with global causes is my purpose.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the natural world and the nuances in patterns and colors that are created organically all around us. I have lived in many beautiful places and create art based on my surroundings and use reclaimed trash to create more art that will elevate the places.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to invest in tools that would grow my art process. For instance, large beach sifters to filter plastic from the beach, a kiln to bake the sculptures, and a glass blowing glory hole. With these tools, I plan on creating art as public installations that draw more attention to the human affects of global contamination. I want my work to inspire and demand change while on the surface, looking like a beautiful addition to any environment.
