Creating art is about a need for self expression and balance for me. A way of representing life in a painting others don’t see.

I’m am fascinated with oil painting and pastels - I love creating something beautiful out of the ordinary. You can find beauty in the places where your heart and mind are touched. Sometimes ugly things are made beautiful in artists minds that no one can see otherwise. From landscapes and people in motion - not posing but doing life, dealing with life makes your audience understand more they are not alone. Someone sees the same pain the same beauty.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration sometimes comes from desperation. Not having all the answers- beginning a painting that requires processes and questions - what to add what to leave out. Inspiration for me comes from what can I show that others cannot see the beauty in. Maybe a poorly stacked fruit stand that is waging a war with gravity - bright colors that weave together in odd places. Messy weedy pastures.
What would you do with $25,000?Buy more art supplies - share with young artists.
