Drawing with charcoal pencil, pastels, ink and chalks all come easier to me. In recent years started to carve and even work on things like masks with acrylic paints and multimedia applied to masks, also oil painting, graphite and plaster mixed media. Anything I’m able to try and use to make art is very fulfilling. It’s more about fully submerging into what I’m doing than one specific thing that is my favorite. Expressing my emotions with what I have on hand and anything that’s a new challenge.
Where do you find inspiration?Find inspiration all around me. In nature and just in objects and people. Sometimes books I’ve read. Art is everywhere and has no limits our boundaries.
What would you do with $25,000?With the winnings I’d love to help out my community and bring opportunities to youth and elderly. Art supplies and hands on experiences to encourage them to love the arts.
