I love the process of creation and the real/raw/connection that comes from manipulating materials for visual communication.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I would describe myself as a fluid artist. While I’m classically trained in both 2D (oil painting) and 3D (metal sculpture) approaches, I love using my creativity to explore the marriage of both the 2D and 3D worlds. I get inspired by concept and then find the medium that fits to best communicate the idea. Mediums: painting (watercolor, oil, acrylic), drawing, sculpture, encaustic, mixed media collage, natural elements
Where do you find inspiration? So many things, but the highlights include: Nature, people, music, life experiences, anatomy, contradictions, parallels, metaphors, stories
What would you do with $25,000?I work for an institution where some art students are struggling. I would love to use funds to help some realize their artistic dreams while also funding better materials for the department. I would love to fund materials for my next project that will be displayed in a faculty show intended to inspire studying artists.
