I love creating artwork. It gives me freedom from the everyday world. It gives me an opportunity to express the way I feel about my world.

I love either digital or traditional watercolor! I write and illustrate my own children's books and I feel that using watercolor medium are the most effective in creating whimsical pictures. I like dream-like aesthetic you can achieve with layering slowly. I prefer taking my time while painting. I don't like a rushed look most art is done these days.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration for my art in the world around me, especially in nature, music, my 2 cats, Romeo and Juliet, and many other things that made me happy when I was a child growing up in Virginia.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use any amount of money that I would be lucky enough to receive, to help make my elderly parents life easier. My parents always made me the center of their world, and they both went without what they needed, so I had what I needed. I truly owe them so much, for all that they have given to me.
