I create art to express with my whole self the wonders the world physical and otherwise, expresses, to me. With paint, pencil and word.

I love many kinds of art but currently oil painting is my thing. Sometimes with mixed media. I like using a central figure usually human but not necessarily. I like using a quote or story line to define the portrayed journey. I have been experimenting with textures and brushwork also. Impasto gives a fun depth to the work. I also love deep vibrant color. I am looking to learn some old masters techniques to see how I can use them.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere, i personally am addicted to story. That is part of the reason Music is also huge for me. Some Tom Waits, Health, Nick Cave or Fever Ray inspires me heavily. Seeing art Is also huge. I was lucky enough to visit the Louvre last year and it was monumental. Also visited Gustave Moreau’s house and learned so much.
What would you do with $25,000?I would refresh my studio. New paint new brushes new medium. I use water oil paint so maybe explore some new brands. I would get a dedicated studio, I would take some time off work. I would also travel to gain inspiration. Find out about the world and what makes it tick. I would also experiment in other modes of art. Sculpture, photography, materials. I would use the money to buy books and movies and music to further explore the world. I am an art therapist so I’d look into healing nature of Art
