What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite art form is abstract expressionism, primarily using acrylic paint. I love the freedom of the medium; it allows me to translate my internal emotions directly onto the canvas without the constraints of realism. Lately, I’ve been expanding my creative reach into pottery. Working with clay provides a tactile grounding, while the glazes offer a fascinating new way to play with color and chemical reactions. For me, art is an evolving journey of exploring color, texture, and spirit.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find my deepest inspiration within my own emotions, which I view as a divine compass. This $25,000 reward is my bridge to a vital new chapter. Five years ago, a manic episode ended my high-stress tech career. While in therapy, I rediscovered my love for art as a tool for recovery and healing. Now, I am ready to turn that passion into a profession. This funding will secure a studio and materials, allowing me to launch workshops that teach others how to create by listening to their emotions. I’m not just starting over; I’m building a career that honors my health and helps others.
