I get lost in nature, grounded and re-energized by it. I create to connect to nature and connect others to nature and each other.

My first love is ceramics. I love that we can dig clay from the earth and sculpt and create with it. Most recently, I have been working with mixed media found objects, mostly from nature. Nature already creates beautiful forms, shapes, and lines. I use what I find to create my compositions.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in nature. I love watching the seasons change in my Midwest backyard and seeing the metamorphosis. I also find inspiration in poetry and lyrics, and observing those around me.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be free from the consumption of scarcity in my thoughts, which would allow me to have more time to conceptualize and create art.
