I love art because art is what we are at our core, it is an expression of you(us) that can be observed, felt and admired.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is abstract art. I never know how the end product will look. I never let myself have an expectation of how it will look because it never works out that way. It is a sense of practice for me to go with the flow and love what “IS”- is beautiful in its natural form. I love abstract because every person can interpret the same piece differently and connect to it in their own way.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in color. I find inspiration in moments of stillness. I find inspiration in nature. I find inspiration in moments of pain. I find inspiration in moments of gratitude. The best time for me to paint is when I want to heal some part of me and/or release something inside that wants to flow out to be observed.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy my daughter a car and find a piece of land with that $25,000.
