My favorite form of art is pop culture inspired, full of symbolism and light colored. With different forms of multimedia, including Prismacolor oil pencils, acrylics and spontaneous elements of reflective gold. I strive to create pieces that speak to the inspired by the feminine, as well as the esoteric.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration stems from lessons of love and fantasy worlds I cannot quite put into words, but rather see mirrored back to me in books, movies, and dreams; personal relationships, famous characters, and mentors. I prefer to find references that render gentle or striking expressions, depending on the subject. Despite difficult life conditions and collective pressure, I strive to take the unexpressed psyche, and turn it into unique creations of imagination.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would donate 1/5 of the prize to my favorite local non-profit: Thrive Community Support Circle. Located in Downtown of Winnipeg, MB (Canada), that has provided the community with essential programs and second hand clothes since the early 70's. With the remaining $20,000- I would apply for an education in Art and make a dream come true!
