I would like to touch people's hearts with the beauty, wisdom and Love of this World through Art. I'd like people to slow down and reflect.

During my studies I painted icons using the egg tempera technique. Henri Matisse said about icons, that nothing in Art could be artistically higher than this. I had the same experience. Therefore, the symbolism and technique of icon painting greatly influenced my work. Depending on what I want to say, I mix genres, moving in one painting from 3D realism through figurative abstraction to 2D iconographic space in order to display more vividly the connection of everything to everything.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in God in His love. When I see the Divine Image in people, His love in them, beauty in Nature, it fills me with so much inspiration, that I start seeing pictures in my head. Sometimes I paint pictures because it helps me survive through chaotic times. When I want to repaint, rewrite my pain, and add more light and bright colors to it, I go to my easel.
What would you do with $25,000?I don't have too much space for my art stuff in our little house. So probably I would use this money to build a little art studio as an additional room. Also I'd buy a hot dog cart for my husband, because he always dreamed to have it so he could sell fresh healthy sourdough hot dogs in art festivals and art walks.
