Art allows me to say the things that are too vulnerable to speak out loud—what was felt, what was almost said, and what still lingers.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create intimate, emotionally driven work that exists between abstraction and figuration. It feels like a memory—soft, layered, and just out of reach. My pieces hold moments of connection, distance, and longing—what’s felt more than what’s seen—inviting viewers to see themselves within the work and confront emotions that often go unspoken.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life, in the shared emotional experiences that connect us all—in grief after losing someone we love, in relationships that never became what we hoped, and in heartbreak that reshapes us. It lives in first meetings, passion, the stories I keep and don’t tell, and the ones I hold quietly to honor others.
What would you do with $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would use it to deepen the work—to spend more time with the stories that shape us but are rarely spoken out loud. I would create new pieces around intimacy, grief, and connection, and bring them into spaces where people can feel seen by them. It would also allow me to open the work outward—where people can turn their own memories and emotions into something tangible. So the work doesn’t just exist on the wall, but in each person who carries it with them.
