Andi Helfant-Frye

I not only love to create art but I have to. It's my identity, a core part of my being, an internal drive. It's my calm in a chaotic world.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Large scale landscape inspired abstract oil paintings.

Where do you find inspiration?

In everything, in every moment but more specifically in the environment at those moments when I find a calm surrounding me.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would take a trip first to Giverny to study the light and color of Monet and hopefully paint in his gardens after which I would travel through Italy and immerse myself in the landscape studying the light and color. I would visit the museums where the old world master painters by Ie: Raphael, Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Carravagio......live on and study their works as well. $25,000 would certainly allow me the length of time necessary to study all that I want to learn.
