I create art to express emotions that can't be put into words. Also, I do art so others can look deeper and feel something beyond the pain.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is abstract design with pen and ink. It allows me to pour out the chaos that's in my heart and mind and create something that expresses those feelings. Art is a part of yourself and having the courage to share it with others is a step out of your usual comfort zone. If someone can feel relieved or relaxed or somehow comprehend what I am doing, then it's worth the literal hours of work on each piece. So, my favorite type of art to create is the art that reveals pain.
Where do you find inspiration?Every day things give me inspiration. When I go walking, I try to find things, details that are overlooked and see beauty in things that are pretty boring to the natural eye. It's true that a spider web can be as beautiful as the road graffiti that I take pictures of. The clouds can be mesmerizing as much as the new buds on the trees. People inspire me too. I'm always fascinated by how people intersect with each other, how their personalities can clash or mesh. We share this huge world. XO
What would you do with $25,000?With this money, I can do many things. My first priority is to become debt-free and secondly, to get a car. Thirdly, to find a place to live. If I can help someone as well, I will do that. Money isn't everything until you don't have it. Practical application of this money comes first because honestly, I need to live in a secure environment so I can grow as a person and an artist. I've always wanted to do a local event to draw in artists at all stages and do a group mural project together.
