love photographing the nature around me because it gives me a way to translate what I feel in nature into something others can experience.

My favorite art to create is nature photography that captures stillness, light, and quiet emotion. I’m especially drawn to forest paths, morning light through trees, snow-covered landscapes, lakes, wildflowers, and small natural details that might otherwise be missed. I love creating images that feel peaceful, contemplative, and slightly luminous — photographs that invite the viewer to pause and enter the moment with me. My work is of Big Bear Lake, of the forest, lake and changing seasons.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the quiet, often unnoticed moments in nature. Spending time in the forest near my cabin in Big Bear Lake has become a daily source of renewal for me. I’m especially drawn to the way light moves through the trees, the stillness between moments, and the small details that are easy to pass by without noticing. Inspiration, for me, isn’t something I go out searching for—it’s something I am aware of when I am present. Walking the trails with my camera allows me to be present
What would you do with $25,000?If I were given $25,000, I would use it to thoughtfully grow my photography into a body of work that can be shared in a meaningful way. I would invest in producing high-quality fine art prints using archival materials, along with simple, cohesive framing to create a collection that could be exhibited locally in spaces that invite reflection. I would also continue building online as well as a physical presence to share my work widely, while allowing time to keep creating and deepening my work.
