Art is my therapy- it helps me express emotions, stay present, grow beyond doubt, and feel grounded, confident, and connected to myself.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is to create is abstract art, animals, or landscapes from photographs I have taken. I enjoy capturing emotional movement that draws the lookers eye. The movement brings depth to life through my abstract style art, since it gives the white space freedom to be more expressive and allows me to experiment with different looks and styles.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through music and my emotions. The rhythm and beats helps me focus, energize me, and keep me locked into the details of my work. Once I get lost in the music, I also get lost in my painting. I choose songs that match how I'm feeling and use that emotion to guide what I create and how I express it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to bring art supplies to establish my own company for online students to participate in art class in person in the twin cities area of Minnesota, helping low-income and online students an opportunity to express themselves creatively.
