I give form to energies beyond words. A vessel for something vast, creating imprints that become mirrors of each viewer’s own inner world.

I’m drawn to creating abstract paintings that trace the invisible, things that cannot be described, only felt. Thin layers of pigmented washes and bold intuitive strokes build a topography shaped by water and chance, the pigment flowing freely, becoming what it wants to be. From there I enter a dialogue with the piece, a meditation, co-creating with the energy already present. Each painting is a landscape of the subconscious, a portal where something intangible emerges into form.
Where do you find inspiration?Spirituality, the psyche, and our relationship with the divine are where everything begins for me. I am fascinated by the dialogue between inner experience and outer form. Nature and its elements are a constant source, particularly water. The way it moves pigment across the canvas, unpredictable and uncontrolled, teaches me that to create one must surrender and trust the process. Just like life itself. Dreams, memory, and emotion live in that same space. That is where I find my work.
What would you do with $25,000?This prize would be transformative. Right now I create from a very small space, pouring everything into the work despite limited resources. $25,000 would allow me to rent a dedicated studio, invest in materials, and create without the weight of financial pressure. I believe some of my most expansive work is still ahead of me. This would give it the space, literally and energetically, to emerge.
