Art is where my thoughts take shape, emotions find color, and silent moments learn how to speak.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m drawn to painting people, emotion, and spirituality—building vibrant, textured worlds where the surreal can breathe. I paint to heal, letting intuition guide each brush stroke as emotions move through me onto the canvas. My work invites a sense of unrest, urging viewers to question what they feel and why, and to connect with something deeper within themselves.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my trauma. The tension, the discomfort, the things that refuse to settle. I’m drawn to what feels unresolved, using it as fuel to create. Pain becomes expression, chaos becomes form. Through both personal and collective struggle, I uncover something honest and unfiltered, shaping it into work that challenges, questions, and invites deeper reflection.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would pour it into creating—gathering supplies to bring art into underserved schools and communities, offering space for expression, healing, and discovery. I would create exhibitions that allow those children to feel seen, valued, and heard through their work. With what remains, I would support my adopted daughter, giving her the freedom to follow her dreams, just as art has given me the courage to follow mine.
