Creating art lets me release emotions I keep hidden—turning what’s inside into something real, honest, and quietly freeing.

I enjoy creating artwork that sits somewhere between recognizable and falling apart—faces show up, then start to blur and break down. I’m drawn to what’s under the surface, using distorted figures and rough layers to get at emotion and identity. I tend to stick with colors that add a sense of tension and isolation. It’s less about perfect portraits and more about capturing something raw and a bit unresolved.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the process itself—letting the canvas lead. I build images up, then wipe them away, over and over, until something real starts to emerge. It’s a push and pull between control and chance, where each layer leaves a trace. Instead of forcing an idea, I listen to what’s forming, allowing the painting to evolve naturally into something unexpected.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d first catch up on life—clear lingering expenses and create some stability so I can focus fully on my work. I’d set aside funds to travel, experience new places, and gather inspiration from different cultures and environments. Most importantly, I’d invest in a dedicated studio space—a place to work consistently, experiment freely, and continue developing my art without limitation.
