I believe through art a person's soul can live beyond their physical body, inspiring thoughts and emotions, provoking action and experiences

For me, the most compelling art isn't found in a pristine gallery; it’s forged in the grit of the shop. My favorite things to create are those that bridge the gap between industrial utility and abstract imagination—specifically, repurposing discarded scrap and raw steel into functional art and sculpture. There is a profound, almost Buddhist sense of "right effort" in taking something the world has labeled as "spent" and breathing new life into it.
Where do you find inspiration?I find it in everyday life. The ordinary moments, the struggles, and the things that don’t sit right with me are often what spark the strongest ideas. My frustrations push me to question the world around me, my passions drive me to create with purpose, and my visions give shape to what I want to express. I pay attention to what moves me emotionally, whether it’s beauty, injustice, tension, or resilience, I translate those feelings into my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it directly into upgrading my shop so I could create more art—and create it on a larger scale. Improving my workspace would allow me to work more efficiently, safely, and creatively. With better tools and equipment, I could take on projects that are currently limited by space, power, or fabrication capacity.
