I love creating visually striking, symbolic work, especially pieces with dark romance and layered meaning that reveals more the longer you look. Theology, deism, politics, and challenging doctrine among the status quo lights an unquenchable fire in me to go on creating.
Where do you find inspiration?The deeper truths hidden inside stories that people inherit, reinterpret, and pass on are often lost. Especially when the world is in a state of mass conflict like it is now while empathy is at an all time low. There is power in being able to show the world through another’s eyes though, & as an artist I feel I have a duty to try my best to do just that.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be honored to give back to my family who have supported me unconditionally, on often way lower incomes than they deserved, & many times even before helping themselves throughout the challenges I’ve faced in life. It’s them who’ve been there from the days they’d do art projects with me at home as a kid encouraging my talents, holding the giant camcorder when I’d win an art award, and who’ve allowed me to be here in this contest today sitting out there voting right now. I LOVE YOUS! ❤️
