Art helps me express myself, finished work validates my creativity, and a sense of my truth.

My favourite type of art to create is songs and poems about intergenerational trauma to help my family especially my children. I want to make positive changes in my life and my immediate family.
Where do you find inspiration?I found my inspiration through visions of a better life with the help of counseling (breaking the stigma of counseling being a taboo). Art allows me to express my emotions, thoughts and experiences in life. It allows me to be present. I love writing however I am my worst critic to myself.
What would you do with $25,000?I would create more songs, poems, and work on more ideas. I would like to translate some of my lyrics into my language and that would cost money to have someone do that for me. I love making moccasins too, so I would have to purchase more crest designs for the moccasins. I would buy another baby lock sewing machine as I had to sell mine when I moved unexpectedly. There is so much I can do with $25000 to work moccasins, poetry, lyrics, and learn to play the guitar.
