Acrylic Abstract Paintings through exploring color and motion. I have heard many people find hidden meanings in my work. As an omnidirectional artist, I explore with any media that completes my vision. Metal, metallic paint, wood grain, I love working with textures. Creation gives us the ability to connect with each other.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Michael Jackson, my middle school art teacher Marcia Carson, the Creator of All Things, nature, music and energy. I am also inspired my hometown, Hammond, Imdiana. I love Chicago and our cultural diversity. I am inspired to make mother and grandmother, both Elva Tamez, proud of me. R.I.P. I am a teacher, I am inspired by the perspective of children. Resilience in all forms always impresses me and I try to send it out in my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I had to spend time committed to developing my art in my own studio, creating what I think may help bring positive, powerful artwork to the world. There is no art without the artist. I would work on developing my artist, voice in a more specific way that I think would have the power to bring harmony and unity.
