I'm old enough for social security and I got weary of the political realm so I'm learning how to coil long leaf pine needles. Grow or die.

I have recently begun to coil baskets using long leaf pine needles however I use stones for the centers and this allows me to draw on my own lapidary experience.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the natural world and in the work of other coilers. A deeper value for me lies in my sense of refuge in the creation of art. Our contemporary world is very stressful and a refuge makes it possible for me to get up to good trouble.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like very much to have a workshop space near my residence however I live in Tacoma WA. With real estate values very high I presently have no where to work except my rather small apartment. Ideally I will someday participate in a makers space for all artists and crafts people in Tacoma. Additionally there's always more supplies to purchase and travel is quite enticing!
