I love drawing with charcoal. It’s visceral and messy. Having the medium you’re using covering your hands and face (usually unknowingly) makes you feel like you’re a part of your drawing; as if it’s an extension of self that’s always been.
Where do you find inspiration?I don’t know if I find inspiration or if it finds me. Sometimes one of us is in a really good hiding position. I find listening and connecting with others to be very poignant and artistically stimulating. Art is where emotion takes form and learns how to be held.
What would you do with $25,000?Honestly? I would use it for rent, groceries, gas. You know, mundane life necessitates that are dauntingly expensive.
