I love to work in multiple medias, typically using collage and acrylic paint to create dynamic works full of emotion. I’m a painting major and a printmaking minor. Portraits and landscapes are a big part of my practice.
Where do you find inspiration?I take inspiration from those who I love and who I feel truly see me. The connection I have with those people, and how they make me feel, is what keeps me going. Lots of my work is inspired by my two younger brothers, being their big sister is the greatest privilege to me and I move forward for them when doing it for myself feels difficult.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put it towards my schooling, as I’m majoring in painting, and still have two years of college left. This would include supplies to extend my practice as well as my education. Not only would I use this money for my education but I would love to be able to start a fund for my younger brothers and their future educations. Giving them a head start at further education.
