I love to create abstract, bold paintings- often described as whimsical- blending women and florals to capture beauty, strength, and love. I’m drawn to emotion, contrast, and the connection between the visible and the hidden. I use broad brushstrokes, vibrant colors and black lines to bring an almost stained glass feeling into my work. My art isn’t about perfection; it’s about creating something that draws people in- something they will connect with that leaves a lasting impact on them.

I find inspiration in the beauty of everyday life. Flowers, women, love, color and energy~ lighthearted yet deep. Music can spark creative visions in my mind; sometimes ideas for paintings come to me when I’m almost asleep, as well as in my dreams. I often wish I could screenshot my brain. Having synesthesia influences how I translate feeling into color, movement, & composition. Even when life is not easy, I’ve always been drawn to find something beautiful within it to translate onto the canvas.

I would invest the prize money into growing my art in a meaningful way- at the forefront I’d want to expand my studio so that I’m not as limited with space and lighting. I’d use it to create new collections, and I’d love to reach a wider audience. Getting out there to participate in more festivals would be a focus as well. I’d also love the opportunity to explore new creative projects and continue building deeper community connections through my work.
