I paint and do Fused glass because I have to. It’s part of who I am.

I am a painter and a kiln formed glass Artist. I do mostly landscape or botanical work. I love to bring beauty to the world gone mad.
Where do you find inspiration?I have no trouble finding inspiration, but for a long time I’ve had to paint what will sell. And that’s usually landscapes or flowers I really like to go beyond pretty flowers into something that I don’t have to worry about it selling. Something that makes a statement our world has really gone mad. I started a couple paintings that I think comes up against the treatment of immigrants right now. I want something that will focus on what immigrants have done in this country.
What would you do with $25,000?I would travel. But mostly I’d like to be able to paint anything I want without worrying about money. That’s very hard to do when you live on Social Security. One thing I’ve always wanted to do is set up of some kind of a fund for beginning artist. I have a dream of going to Oaxaca Mexico, and perhaps doing a residency of some kind in that area.
