Art was a way to recharge my battery. It gave me freedom to share my colourful soul. Colour is my dopamine. I can never get enough.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love all mediums, I started with watercolors in the 1990s then shifted to mixed media. Over the years I make it a habit to never travel without supplies. In my studio I experiment with all kinds of mediums such as cardboard, handmade collage papers, plaster wrap, gels, molding paste, the options are endless. I also love bold colour. This world is full of neutral colors, I feel the need to use color as much as possible. It makes me feel good.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. I live in Northwestern Ontario Canada. We are surrounded by nature. The colour shift with every season. Sometimes I find inspiration on the shores of our many lakes,. When I travel I always have a camera on hand to capture people, animals, and structure, then use those images as a starting point.
What would you do with $25,000?I have a decent size studio, so that would not be on my list. I would probably use it to travel to larger centers to showcase my work to a bigger audience. Also possibly hire someone to properly run my website. www.instagram.com://annesicilianooriginalartwork
