Art has always been a huge part of my life. I love creating because it lets me express feelings and ideas, it’s truly a form of therapy.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is mixed media because I can combine different materials like paint, paper, and other elements to tell a story in a really unique way. I also love sketching because it’s simple and lets me focus on expression and emotion without overthinking. Both styles give me freedom to experiment and turn my ideas or feelings into something visual and meaningful.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my faith and my emotions. My relationship with God shapes how I see the world and gives deeper meaning to what I create. At the same time, my feelings, both the heavy and joyful ones, often guide my ideas and help me express things I can’t always put into words. Together, they turn my art into something personal, honest, and meaningful.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would use it to help pay for grad school so I can continue my education without as much financial stress. I would also set some aside to support my husband and me with living expenses and stability while I focus on school and building our future. The goal would be to invest in my education and create a strong foundation for both of us long term.
