With the world in serious decline, creating art is the only thing stopping me from killing myself, it acts as therapy. I love the process.

Oil painting. Art is a mirror, a catalyst and a question. It reflects who we are, challenges accepted truths, and invites dialogue. My work explores overlooked subcultures and stories with empathy. I don’t seek to dictate. interpretation—my goal is to create space for the viewer to question, connect, and see the world differently. For me, art is not just representation—it is an act of engagement.
Where do you find inspiration?I focus on capturing the more unusual aspects of North American culture, particularly subcultures that aren't widely known or understood. The five major themes I have explored are: Snake-handling churches throughout Appalachia. Small town stock car races—“Enduros”. A series of paintings examining the harsh, unforgiving landscape and rough denizens of Southeast Alaska. New York City in the 80's when it was in decay. And my most recent subject, "Furries" which is my next subject of focus.
What would you do with $25,000?I would rent a studio and would return to "Anthrocon", a furry convention in Pittsburgh. I want to explore this community with compassion, challenging stereotypes and revealing why they matter. Many view furries through a narrow lens; my goal is to show a fuller picture. For some, a “fursona” offers a safe space to explore identity, whether for trans youth, those with body dysmorphia, or people on the spectrum. Art can humanize and open dialogue, and this project is my way of doing that.
