My work blends intuition, emotion, and connection—each stroke and layer shaped by lived experience and the human story within me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art style is abstract expressionism, deeply inspired by the energy and innovation of the New York School painters. Their freedom of movement and emotional depth resonate with my creative process. I’m also drawn to pop art and art deco, especially their bold use of color, contrast, and design elements that capture the spirit and vibrancy of their respective eras.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from many sources, including books, magazines, and interior design. I’m especially influenced by the New York School of Abstract Expressionism from the 1950s, known as the Irascibles. Artists such as Robert Motherwell, William Baziotes, Hans Hofmann, Helen Frankenthaler, Jackson Pollock, and Clyfford Still continue to shape and inspire my creative work.
What would you do with $25,000?My goal is to open a studio offering educational programs that help individuals overcome social and emotional challenges. As a behavior therapist and educator, supporting children with these needs has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. This space will give children a voice, a sense of belonging, and a place to express themselves through creativity and growth.
