Art is freedom, joy, and a voice. It's also a way to turn imagination into something visual that hopefully triggers a sense of curiosity.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is concept-driven art because it easily allows ideas to come to life. While I enjoy drawing and painting figures, my passion extends across multiple mediums, including digital art created in Photoshop and painted figures. I love transforming imagination into something visual through color, storytelling and design. As a full-time worker, husband and father, time to create is limited; I have learned to work quickly. Every moment spent creating is meaningful to me.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from comics, video games, films, other artists, athletes, and the natural world. Much of my work is also inspired by the idea of freedom and emotional release. What drives me most is passion; I love seeing passion in others too. When an idea truly inspires me, I feel compelled to bring it to life and see it through to completion. I often listen to music while at work for comfort and focus.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it thoughtfully to invest in both my family and my artistic future. A portion would go toward a meaningful trip to Japan with my wife, giving us the opportunity to experience its incredible art, culture, food and inspiration together. I would also invest in professional art supplies and tools, such as an airbrush, to continue growing and refining my craft. While the monetary prize would be deeply appreciated and used wisely, the greatest reward would be the recognition itself.
