Where do you find inspiration?I am most inspired by the beauty of the natural world. We spend a month in Eastern Africa last year and it was all so amazing, from watching newborn mountain gorillas to walking with the locals carrying wood, cooking oil, and building materials in homemade baskets on their heads, to watching a leopard take down a gazelle. It is all vividly engrained in my memory.
What would you do with $25,000?My dream is to find a way to use my art to benefit nature. So, if I win the prize I would hire an assistant to set up an online store where artists like myself could donate artwork with proceeds sent to environmental and animal welfare groups.
