Art is a window into my soul, a safe space to be vulnerable. After a traumatic brain injury, painting intuitive abstracts brought me home.

I love creating intuitive abstract paintings in layers because they beautifully display an array of emotions. By creating depth with colors, shapes, and textures, I allow space for exploration of the psyche. There are hidden layers beneath the surface where the soul is peeking through, or vibrant vibrations in plain sight. The ambiguous images offer an opportunity to seek inside, with introspection, to connect with oneself and the world. The contrast of dark and light is what makes us whole.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere!
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to study art. I learned how to draw and paint by watching YouTube videos and Instagram posts for instruction. My work as an expressive art therapist gave me the privilege of guiding clients through their process of healing. It would be a privilege to study art under individual or group instruction. As a student of life, I always appreciate constructive criticism from experts and colleagues, helping me grow as an artist, evolving as a person. I love learning!
