The delicate process of art making and the impact it can have is why I love to create art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Using figures within my pieces is my favorite way to create art because of the way I can produce a multitude of emotions and reactions. I use a mix of black, white and gray tones created using India ink and pens because I love the contrast between the blacks and whites and use it to add drama and tension to my figures.
Where do you find inspiration? My interest in psychology and the human reaction is where my inspirations stem from. I find it fascinating how people process art based not only on the composition of the piece but also the scale, color scheme, and mood the art piece reflects. I also find inspiration in the details behind the process of other artists and how their mindset reflects the work they create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give some to my parents who have been struggling financially and could use some support. I’ve had health issues recently so I’d put most towards that and paying off my student loans/general life expenses. Lastly, if I could, I’d set some money aside to use as a celebration for making it this far.
