Abstract art is my favourite because it is the best way to break boundaries and systems, and in order for us to build a community and help each other, we need to be able to think beyond our five senses and be able to adapt and find alternative solutions. I find it keeps me present, and helps me connect with my community in a unique way. Change starts at a intrapersonal level. Abstract art is something that teaches you how to let go, and shows you that this mentality carries over into your life.

Art has never been about myself, it’s always been about the people around me and connecting people. After seeing first hand how it effortlessly brings people together in a pure way, I’ve haven’t been able to find a feeling better than that. I take inspiration from not only visual themes, but from music and dance. Art is what taught me the creative process to making music, as well as dance. All these things from the same place, and they all break boundaries, and they are a universal language.

I would use it to continue supporting my ability to work on more projects, and make collaborations happen. I want to host a pop up NYC that can give other artists a chance to share their work and connect communities. I also want to use it to support the people close to me in their creative endeavours. The friends I consider family are creatives (dancers, musicians, artists, videographers) but they don’t have the proper resources. Last but not least I would help my family with their expenses.
