I love creating art because it gives shape to thoughts and emotions I can't always say out loud. Art helps me slow down and be present.

My favorite type of art shifts with inspiration. I love working in pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencil, oils, and scratchboard, each bringing its own energy and challenge. I primarily focus on nature and wildlife, letting the subject and emotion guide both my process and choice of medium.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration lives in the quiet details of the world around me. I find it in nature and everyday moments, in the shimmer of light on water, the presence and movement of wildlife, the softness of a summer breeze. These small, fleeting moments fill me with a sense of calm and curiosity, creating connection and wonder that shapes both the mood and direction of my work.
What would you do with $25,000?If awarded the prize, I would invest in expanding my artistic practice by purchasing materials and further developing my skills. I would also use a portion to travel to national parks to immerse myself in new environments, allowing me to experience new landscapes firsthand and create artwork inspired directly by the natural beauty of those places.
