Art is like my drug I need to block out the chaos and noise. Its the love and hate of it that keeps me coming back for more.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Im into many styles of art but the one thing I love creating best is Mexican Folk Art themed masks. I make them using 80% of recycled materials. I love molding with clay, paper mache, wire, masking tape, a different variety of paints and homemade glues. As for me making a mask is an expression of what I am currently feeling without having to actually verbalizing it.
Where do you find inspiration?I find it in my culture. Its bold, its elegant, there's history and fore most there is beauty.
What would you do with $25,000?Id build my dream art room. A small place to open up at home to invite the neighborhood families over to help them step away from technology for a minute and open their hearts to creating something magnificent. Art can heal and connect and Id love to be a part of that.
