It's the one I'm creating in the moment; some days are dim, and some nights gleam. Music expresses my emotions, while photography and film cater to my point of view. All, though, have the power to share stories. I have a passion for people and their chronicles, and playing a big part in bringing their vision to life through my artistry is a thrill I can't explain. Being privileged enough to create different forms of art is a blessing in itself; I truly can't pick a favorite.

For me, inspiration is everywhere, and my art is driven by it. I easily find it in the "small" things, like the birds or the coffee fields, but also in the darkness of a storm; the trials and tribulations. I'm mostly inspired by the resilience in me, my community, my family, & all the DOPE, wonderful souls I've been so fortunate to cross paths with. Life has shown me that even through its ups & downs, if you follow your heart, work hard, & NEVER give up, you can achieve your wildest dreams.

I'm proud to say that for nearly a decade, I've devoted my time and efforts to shining a light on others with my art, and have a fire desire in me to continue to do so for my city. Miami-Dade County is a precious diamond with precious people, & with this $25K, I’m certain I'll finally be able to shift the tides, eventually bringing the commUNITY back together. I'm still here because I have a purpose bigger than me. Winning this will be a testament to myself, AriLu, that it was all worth it.
