I love creating jewelry. I have always loved all forms of art but 4 years ago I began working at a local studio that makes jewelry along with other metal work, and I fell in love with the process and the art. I love creating art that can be worn. Earrings are my favorite type of jewelry to make, along with pendants, but I love the process of making any type of jewelry.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in so many things, nature, space, and line are three specific things that I draw inspiration from. Creating work that features nature in some way is something i love to do. My favorite pieces are always the ones that feature flowers, butterflies, fish and plants.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to start my own business and the money from this competition would allow me to pursue my passion of jewelry making. I am currently attending the University of North Dakota with a major in visual arts and marketing. When I graduate I want to be able to create my own business where I sell my work. This money would make it possible for me to focus solely on building my brand, rather than working multiple jobs.
