I create art to reimagine everyday life in color, where even imperfection becomes beautiful and full of meaning

My favorite art to create is vibrant, mixed media work that blends fantasy and reality. I love using bold color combinations to bring lightness into a world that can sometimes feel heavy or gray. My favorite pieces are my “Beautiful Beasties,” human forms that embrace imperfection. Through their quirks and flaws, I celebrate that beauty comes in all forms.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, color, and the overlooked details of everyday life. I create characters like my “Beautiful Beasties,” such as Moonlight Bae with wolf-like teeth and my Spooky Beauty, a skeleton girl. They are visually striking but imperfect in unexpected ways. Through them, I explore my belief that flaws do not take away beauty, and that all forms of life are still vibrant and worthy of appreciation.
What would you do with $25,000?With the $25,000, I would create a home for my family where we can find peace, stability, and joy as we continue this beautiful chapter of life. As a new mom, I am growing into the person I am becoming, and I would create a space where I can be a mother, wife, and artist fully. A home with room to create, to let my imagination flow, and to continue building my art career through my “Beautiful Beasties,” while showing my son that no dream is impossible to strive for.
