What a better way to express yourself to share a feeling, a painting or drawing where the one looking can find their own meaning.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite kind of art is the kind that allows me to flow freely. It’s not about perfection—it’s about the feeling. I love creating something that has never been seen before, something that comes straight from within me. I can work with pencil, watercolor, or acrylics, but what I love most is getting my hands dirty—literally. There’s something incredibly powerful about touching the paint, feeling the texture, and shaping something with my own hands, whether it’s on canvas or through sculpture.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the present moment—in whatever I’m feeling or experiencing right then. It can be something small, like a smile, a flower, or even just a passing emotion. Sometimes it’s not something I see, but something I feel. I don’t force it—I let it flow. That’s what makes art so therapeutic for me. It becomes a release, a way to express what words sometimes cannot.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to help my daughter with her law school education. Supporting her future and seeing her succeed would mean everything to me, she’s wanted to be a lawyer since 4th grade .
